Superstar Elly Gandy standing tall for Australia

We have been thrilled to welcome Commonwealth Record Holder Elly Gandy as a Funkita sponsored athlete. Since gaining Australian citizenship, Elly had to take a step back from competing following the London 2012 Olympics, which is when she was last under the British flag.

After a promising World Cup series of events last year, Elly recently competed for the first time as a member of the Senior Australian Team at the BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series in Perth.

As a result, she featured in the West Australian newspaper in advance of the competition and they used campaign shots from our 'We the People' collection. The stunning image of Elly literally walking underwater is a particular favourite of ours, and our Funkita fans.

With two bronzes and a silver medal in Perth, Elly is now looking toward the Commonwealth Game trials in Brisbane this April. We wish her all the best of luck in her training and career ahead and are delighted to be part of her journey.
