British Summer Champs Wrap-Up

Funky Trunks had three representatives at the British Summer Championships last week. Being one of the biggest swimming events on the UK calendar the competition was tough. Our F-Teamers had some outstanding results, all coming home with some bling around their neck!

Lewis Clough had a very successful meet. He finished with two silver medals in the 50 fly and 100 free and a bronze in the 100 fly. Lewis is preparing for the Youth Commonwealth Games later this month and he is looking right on track, doing PBs in almost all his events. Joseph Hulme from the Plymouth Lea club won the silver medal in the 17/18 year old 100m backstroke in a very fast time of 56.01.

Finally, Michael Gunning was very happy with his bronze medal in the 200m butterfly. The London based F-Teamer went under the two minute mark touching the wall in 1.59.91! With some great performances over the week we can't wait to see what the boys have in store for us next season!
