F-Teamers Set to Fly at World Uni Games
Joe Litchfield cleaned up at Summer Champs with the F-Team and is getting set to dominate at the World Uni Games!
From August 18 - 30, uni students from around the globe are set to go head-to-head at the World University Games in Taipei. We are excited to have 6 Funky Trunks F-Teamers getting set to smash it out in the pool with the best of the best as they go for gold.
The Litchfield name is no stranger to the swimming world stage, and Joe Litchfield (@joelitch98) is ready to make waves. With older brother Max Litchfield recently competing at the 2017 FINA World Championships, Joe is now ready to take his place in the global spotlight. Joe cleaned up at the British Nationals Championships in the lead up to the World Uni Games, taking several medals home. Joe is set to race the 200m individual medley, the 400m individual medley as well as the 100m butterfly.

Coming straight from World Champs in Budapest is Team Jamaican F-Teamer Michael Gunning (@MichaelGunning1), Irish star Brendan Hyland (@brenhyland94) and South Africa's Clayton Jimmie (@clayjimmie). Michael will be racing the 100m and 200m fly, as well as the 200m freestyle. Set to challenge him in both butterfly events is Brendan and we can't wait to watch these two F-Teamers go head-to-head as they race for gold.
Clayton will be stepping up to the block for the 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and the 4x100m relay. New kid on the F-Team block, Alexander Kunert (@kunibert96), will be representing Germany in the 50m butterfly.
New Zealand F-Teamer George Schroder is getting set to race the 100m breaststroke and the 200m breaststroke and will be joined by fellow Team NZ member and Funkita athlete Carina Doyle. To read about Carina and the rest of the Funkita F-Teamers heading to the Games click here.
