F-Teamers named on National Programmes
F-Teamer Jacob Whittle has a big year of swimming ahead of him
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are fast approaching and many of our UK and Irish athletes have been named on National Programmes. Athletes selected on the programmes are eligible to receive training camp and competition opportunities throughout the season, as well as access to world class sports science and medicine services.
It's no surprise that F-Teamer Jacob Whittle has been added to British Swimming's list of Podium Potential athletes for the 2019-2020 season. After a successful year breaking the 14-year-old age group English record, British record, and setting the fastest time in world history for the boys 100 freestyle, Jacob certainly deserves the recognition.

Irish F-Team trio Brendan Hyland, Jack McMillan and Robbie Powell have been named on the National Squad
Swim Ireland have also named three F-Teamers as part of the Irish National Squad. Brendan Hyland, Jack McMillan, and Robbie Powell all swam at the World Champs in Gwangju earlier this year, qualifying for all Irish relay teams for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

Mark Ford with F-Teamers Katie Shanahan and Aimee Wilmott and Daniel Wiffen
Junior F-Team swimmer Daniel Wiffen, who competed at the European and World Juniors earlier this year has also been selected for the Irish Performance Pathway. Glasgow Swimmer and European Youth Olympic qualifier Mark Ford has been identified as a potential Scottish Swimming superstar, as he has secured a place on the Scottish Youth Squad.
