Bill Joins the F-Team
We're very excited that Canadian young gun Bill Dongfang has joined the F-Team. Dongfang, from Victoria B.C., is a National medalist and a member of Canada's Junior National Team and a member of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. At 18, Bill has already competed in several major international meets including the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Hawaii and the Junior World Champs in Israel in Septmber. What are your Swimming goals this year?
Being able to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics representing Team Canada.
Being able to earn Rookie of the Year at University of Toronto.
Increase my distance and aerobic capacity to be a better constant swimmer.
Improve my nutrition and hydration in and out of the pool.

That's a lot of big goals for the year! Tell us about your swimming goals for the next 5 years?
Increase my distance and aerobic capacity to be a better constant swimmer.
Improve my nutrition and hydration in and out of the pool.
Try and make the 2028 Olympics Game and to try and win an international medal.
Impressive! What motivates you to pursue these goals?
Fame and popularity and of course my family and friends.
Do you have any pre-race rituals that you swear by?
I pray before I race as well as stretch.
What meal do you love, but can't tell coach Byron MacDonald you indulge in every now and then?
Any type of sweets and desserts!
If you could compete anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would love to compete in Paris because it's always been my dream to see the beauty and fashion of Paris.
What are your main interests away from training and competing?
Passing university while making new friends.
